Yet again, we have had all the weather in Edinburgh, and it is bloody exhausting.
I set out before 11am to flyer for the early ComedySportz show, and it was a light drizzle. By the time I’d got to the venue an hour or so later, it was pouring it down, and I was soaked through.
A brief respite wearing my playing stuff for the show, and then I had the joy of changing back in to soaking wet clothes to go back outside to flyer.
When I emerged from the venue it was now bright sunshine. Now I’m stripping off layers and stuffing them in my bag, and reaching for my sun cream. I can’t deal with this madness. Who do I write to?
Shit Socialist
It was a blessing then that I managed 15 in for the the show, as flyering had been all but impossible.
I actually asked who had come because I had flyered them, and it was only three of them. Thank God that I’d had a decent organic reach for today. Maybe the Fringe brochure is worth it after all!
I was happy with the show, especially after expecting to have a much lower turnout given the circumstances.
After the show I managed the later ComedySportz show, got to the gym, and compered at the Salfunni night.
I then topped off the night with an appalling takeaway of chips, cheese and donner meat. Yeah, great that I went to the gym isn’t it?
My show, Shit Socialist, is on 3.15pm, 1-25 Aug, at The Counting House (Attic). Free entry, PWYW.
